Potato & gravy vs Chicken soup
The first difference I notice is that I'm served up a soup to
start - or the more likely scenario is that a chicken was having a
foot spa and had its leg unexpectedly amputated. The vege broth was
nice but the floating, shriveled chicken leg I could pass on.
French fries vs Fried yuca
Yuca root is a starchy, tropical, South American vegetable. I'm
calling it a second cousin of the potato but with a sweeter and
firmer disposition. It's rumoured to have anti-inflammatory
properties and to help with digestion. All I know for sure is that
it's damn tasty.
Moist towelette vs Rubber gloves
At the end of a greasy chicken feast what better way to clean
the slimy grease from under your nails? Hold your horses kiddos,
there's another way. In Colombia they avoid the mess and put on
rubber gloves before they chow down.
After deliciously experimenting with Colombian chicken cuisine I
award 1 point to the KFC potato & gravy, 1 point to the Yuca
and the rubber gloves tip the win to Colombian Brosty Chicken. It
begs the question, is it still finger-licking good if your 10
digits are donning rubber?
