After 3 months of helmet hair I decided I better detangle and
trim my travelling mop ahead of the wedding at Marcoola Beach. The
lovely folk at Togninis bravely offered to tame my tresses on
Saturday morning and after perking me up with a complimentary flat
white (NZ and Australia's perfect coffee combo between a latte and
a cappuccino) and a chill out in the massage chair Alisha my
Canadidan stylist got chopping. In hairdresser speak the long
layers at the front had become disconnected from the length, in
reality, my all-in-one shampoo, conditioner, detergent and soap
hadn't been kind to my follicles.
Alisha subtly suggested I get the conditioning treatment and I
loved the chocolate analogy she used to describe it. Apparently
each piece of hair is like a peanut m&m (now she had my
attention) and the hair's protective layer is the candy coating,
the main body is the chocolate and the core of the hair is the nut.
When the protective coating is damaged the chocolate goodness
melts, so a quick treatment strengthens and gives shine to your
suffering strands.
She worked wonders with those little scissors and as you can see
from the before and after shot it was a big improvement. She even
clipped a feather in my cap, a length of hair dyed pink and black
that she attached at my roots for some added fun. The vibe at
Togninis is fun but the results are pure professional, thanks so
much guys!
